BIOGRAPHY

Hiroe Alexander was born in Japan and currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and daughters. 

In a pottery class at West LA College in Los Angeles, she became captivated by the attraction of clay, and she actively continued to produce and to create her own style of sculptural art works.

Free and energetic expressions characterize her style. At the same time, the work exhibits attention to detail based on ancient Jomon pottery that she encountered in her childhood in Japan.

Recently, she expanded her range of artistic mediums to include painting and assemblage sculpture

She received a prize for the Award of Excellence from the 21st Japan International Art Exchange Exhibition held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, Tokyo, Japan in April 2022

 

She is currently a member of Los Angeles Art Association.
